Furletta DuChat is a minor character in Top Cat Begins. She is a nightclub singer who works in Mr. Big’s bar.

Personality[]

Due to the very little screen time she has, not much is known about Furletta, but she is shown to be a passionate, glamorous, kind and cheerful singer.

Appearance[]

Furletta is a violet-blue cat with almond-shaped eyes, a flesh muzzle without whiskers, dark pink nose, orange hair, carmine red lips, and a long tail. She wears a red, side-slit strapless (with a white bra and matching white panties underneath), gold bracelets, gray grippy lace upsocks, and red high heels. Later, she is seen wearing a dark gray, short-sleeved open chest dress, and dark gray high heels (her goldbracelets remain). She also has a [stolen] diamond necklace, made of the diamonds stolen by her evil boss and his thugs.

Role in the film[]

Furletta is first seen on stage lip-synching to Meghan Trainor’s All About That Bass while Top Cat and his gang are being chased by Mr. Big’s henchmen.

She is seen a little later singing Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend after Top Cat and Benny celebrate having successfully taken back the stolen diamonds from Big's lead henchman, Bad Dog.

Later on in the film, Benny learns from his mother that she made a necklace for Furletta out of the stolen diamonds, that went missing earlier. Upon learning this, he heads off to the club to get them back, in hopes of earning T.C.’s forgiveness for an unpleasant misunderstanding. That night, Furletta is concluding another performance and heads back to her dressing room to change. After she leaves, Benny sneaks in and steals them back, but ends up knocking her out with the door by accident. When the stage manager and more of Big’s thugs show up, he dons her wardrobe and impersonates Furletta in her place. However, the ruse doesn’t last long as he soon found out and finds himself being chased by both Big’s thugs and the angry crowd. In the midst of the chaos, Furletta shows up, having recovered from the blow, but, being mistaken for Benny, is tackled by two of Big’s thugs. She is not seen again and her fate is unknown.
